The Guns of Propagandistan have fallen silent.
The heroic, courageous battle by the mostly-peaceful cis-gender benevolent defensive soldiers of the neo-Nazi battalions of the most noble and honorable people's citizens' Free Democratic Republic of the Ukraine (oh, sorry Ukraine; just 'Ukraine') - is over, after the local, not-foreign or mercenary commanders obeyed the direct orders of the peace-loving and caring cocaine-sober President Zelenskyy to be evacuated.Who here owns a lilac or lavender
bedspread?
Someone does...
And so, as the BBC decides how many times it can use the word 'uncertain' to deliver its message, Western News Sources all have fallen silent.
No doubt this will not last very long.
Even as I write though, the brains of the people at Head Office Geneva, WPP Group, are feverishly (although not too feverishly in case they have to be carted off to hospital to test for Covid...) working to come up with something new to shove into the waiting eyes and ears of the avid world.
It's a fair question to ask me, well, just what do you mean 'step out of it and prepare for the coming dystopia.'
How?
How are we expected to do that?
What even, would really work?
I used to have a lilac duvet cover until my pet rat made a hole in it. It was one of my favourites (rat and duvet).
ReplyDeleteStepped out for a cig at sunset and the sky was lilac - peeking through the angry grey clouds. I was listening to amanita dreamer on my headphones. The clouds moved off and the sky showed peachy orange towards lilac then blue.

DeleteI meant to write 'the Dow-Jones Industrial Average crashed another 1000 over points just then.'
DeleteOkay now can you just manifest us all a bunch of cash, now. Please. Because we need to 'get loaded' for the bond yield curve, right? Because, you know, after a while this dam will bust and the mud will flow. Lilac is the color of power but subtle power, and nuance. The only solution to this world's present mess is going to have to be very subtle, very nuanced, and likely very exclusive.
ReplyDeleteThanks to a Sultan Pasha creation that came in the mail recently, my bedroom has been smelling purple. But I don't think this one's for me.
ReplyDeleteToo complicated, some of these oudhs - I like just plain fairly new agar wood from Queensland, Oz. I've got something truly interesting coming up soon - waiting for 'Team JES' to do their new promo with it coming up hopefully real soon. The other thing too, it's better to warm or heat oudh and not really to burn it because it gets too burnt and smoky. Sultan Pasha is still an interesting guy though, probably you have his Purple Kochang oil? All these things are major art to just acquire and then process properly.
DeleteIt's a floral attar with a lilac topnote; actually smells purple and somehow juicy to me. My favorite one of his so far though is Nuit Persane.
DeleteLooking forward to what you and JES have in the works!
