That Jesus is returning.
Even the Milanese, I'm not so sure, can really know it. The Romans certainly cannot - they do not even enjoy their coffee - they have this 'coffee to go' thing where they literally pay for coffee and then just go away or order an extra one and literally just go away.
...Leaving one coffee for someone else to take.
But of course the idea is that if there are coffees in line at some other time and the person is there then and with fewer other customers around, then they will just take one and 'not' pay for it at that moment.
Life too fast-paced for the Romans these days, you see.
The caption on this pic where I found it said: 'Invitation to a Masquerade Ball.' |
And they get up to all kinds of mischief as well. They are not going to be completely happy if Jesus rocked up and was there as they were getting on with their little Roman lives.
The French I suppose, would not care less. Not really. Well, they are afterall, French.
I think to a large extent, the issue with humanity's comprehension over the whole matter, is that they do not have a grasp of what He is, not necessarily just 'who' He is.
Sam Harris, notably wrote books and made lots of atrocious public commentaries where he said that Islam teaches that if you believe in the Virgin Birth you will go to Hell for Eternity... He said that. And there are millions of little Sam and Richard trolls around the world nodding vehemently and he is famous and sells a lot of his little atheism books and he is a well-known public skeptic and atheist who is also of course, a sci-entist.
He has several University degrees on this and is a qualified academic researcher on religion and religious history.
Except he never has read the Quran - which expressly teaches the Virgin Birth.
This is the world in which we live and for a lot of important matters and for much of the time, our own very lives are in the hands, of sci-entists and serious academic researchers and qualified professionals like Sam Harris.
'Science to go.' I'll say something now and do the research later.
Drinkable Inks are for you to sit down, open your mind up to itself, and listen, and then manifest into words on the page in front of you, some ideas and some expressions of thought from out of your own self; from out of your own mind.
In the most advanced understandings of modern mechanistic neurology (and this is very correct of an area of knowledge to a large extent), the sensations that you feel can only come from the precise unfolding of a certain exact profile of events within your neural system and within your body:
And there are several key phrases that one must note regarding how these mechanisms operate.
'Listen, Jesus...' 'Yes. What is it?' 'The Belgians have this thing they are calling liquid bread... Will that do for your ritual?' |
The first is 'refractory phase' (time must pass between one set of energy sweeps across particular neural network lines, and the next one being fully experienced clearly).
The second is 'wave forms' and their intensity and spike, or peak (neural energy is a build up of waves of electro-chemical force - it's not ever one single 'thing,' one single naked solitary signal). With the most powerful present-day doctor-prescribed anti-depression medications, what these are doing is dull down or even totally eliminate the energy spikes via the serotonin-norepinephrine re-uptake process.
And the third is Dopamine neural pathway clearing. You cannot have any kinds of 'clear signal' and therefore a targeted result if whatever particular neural network links and connections are already being inhibited or blocked (and usually this is from past activity along those pathways). So these need to be cleared. So one problem with modern drugs (to do with any of this neural system mechanism) is that they - the prescribers - firstly don't know as scientists and doctors how these chemicals or the systems themselves actually operate and function and what the precise mechanisms are, and nobody sets out to examine what the signal spikes were coming from in the first place that were giving rise to 'apparent' adrenaline (fright or flight) surges causing the so-called 'anxiety.'
In other words, they are literally giving no genuine consideration to the idea that those people may be entitled to being 'anxious!'
So because you are all intelligent, and thinking people who use your brains, you will clearly know not to drink (any) stuff too much and expect the same result all the time, and you will know to arrange things well beforehand that allow for the correct lead-up profiles of events (that are designed to get you to where you wish to go).
You will clearly know not to 'take pills' handed out by the Sam Harris's of the world. Because those are not going to do you any good. Some might, if the whole exercise of what is actually going on, on multiple levels has been deeply gone into, and carefully gone into.
I want to get a sensation, I want to get a sensation, but I want to get a sensation right now.
Why?
And what/which one?
There is a reason that today's world wants to have you hyped up so doctors can dull your sensory systems, and why it wants you to be operating at an unnatural pace of life.
People do not have any time to entertain Jesus even if He showed up openly tomorrow. The Romans would get anxious, the French would be dismissive on account of that the roads are going to be traffic-jammed in thirty minutes, and the Milanese could quite easily get scandalized about the clothing He is choosing to wear - or at least, they would have very conflicting opinions of those choices... And so, all of them would have their doctors prescribing pills right away, and pretty soon they would not even see - because their senses would be so dulled and dumbed-down - who was there talking to them.
It wouldn't matter if it were their wives there in front of them, or their children, or their friends, or even just actual God Himself.
They wouldn't see it. And they wouldn't care.
Is that the world you want to live in?
And yes of course we want solutions to so many of our existential problems.
The process of getting those, however, goes like this - blank sheet of paper, pen, and some liquid bread...
I mean seriously, when was the last time you enjoyed, and I mean really enjoyed a piece of fish? And, who did you invite to have that with you?
I'm going to say "no" "let's peitho a god" and yes to "animals and people approach me with the ideas and things I need to make our way forward as systems of industrial production and distribution fail us, and the people who seek to deepen conflicts stay away." That's what I think would be cool AF.
ReplyDelete'For I have come not to bring peace, but a sword.' Unless you have Divinity with you, animals and people will approach you from the only terms they understand... Besides which, the industrial systems and ideas of W. Edwards Deming will never fail. Otherwise that film 'not to be seen for a 100 years' starring Malkovich would not be prophetic - and it is prophetic. Saints and prophets are not people simply in the past. They are here and now - come in many shapes and sizes, mostly not observed, however.
ReplyDeleteCan you comment on the sensation, sometimes referred to as "shivers down my spine", please? I have heard a physiologist (who is also deep into yoga) explain in a YouTube vid, that it originates in a lower part of the brain (I thoroughly forgot all the details by now) and could be willed by an experienced practitioner.
ReplyDeleteGreat but also complex question: there are TWO places where adrenaline is produced from, and they result in two different kinds of responses, although both have an association with subsequent breathing and heart-rate. The 'shiver down the spine' emanates from an adrenaline surge from the base (lower part ) of the brain stem, whereas the adrenaline surges from the adrenal glands have to do with pumping fluid into cell tissue and getting ready to fight or run (well-known matter). However you will still get characteristically DIFFERENT feelings if you 'will it' (which you easily can) compared to if say, you walked into a strange, quiet, darkened room and you felt a sudden sensation running up and down your spine. The sensations are similar, but also different because in one case you will already know HOW COME the sensation arose. So there will be little in the way of fear, and instead a feeling more like driving fast through a tunnel or underground loop-way in Monaco! Great question because it is helping me post next up - and I have been stuck on how to explain something these last few days.
DeleteI've never heard of Sam Harris. He makes pills you say? Of course popping a pill and expecting a result is not unlike pushing a button and expecting a nuke to launch. "Well those things are completely NOT alike, you are missing an essential obvious difference."
ReplyDeleteYeah, of course. I think more should be said about "powers of imagination" soon. If the scientists are "forced" to concede that our "brains" are fancy quantum computers like Stuart Hameroff says, then things that effect the "configuration" of that "brain" might turn out to be incredibly important to all kinds of "physically real" situations.
The people who talk about "using imagination," for instance like Salvador Dali, are very specific about "what it is and how to." But maybe the real power comes when imagination and emotion are somehow united. You can make yourself "prone to receive the image like in a dream" but also fill your heart with emotion as well, to acheive the "full power of agency." Something like that. There's a concept for you.
I'm seeing "Hilary Lawson" on "youtube" implicitly evoking the idea that "fantasies" are "fundamentally unscientific."
DeleteAnd in the same video I'm watching Michio Kaku apparently not understand the difference between a "conversation" and the "mediation of a conversation."
DeleteIf you stay away from pop identities, you will benefit enormously. lol
DeleteDoes that mean I have to stop watching Selena's cooking show?
