Who wudda thunk it.
Trump whacks a 200% tariff on French wine.
LOL
You know you got to hand it to the people who always are clamoring on about 'proof' and 'evidence.'
What's the point? Of giving them any? They never are capable of using the knowledge profitably.

At least you cannot buy the Uffizi Gallery! So I can post pics like this here and you won't go rush out and spend money. |
The only reason something entirely new is not commonly known, is that it belongs to the category of those things that in Venetian times were held by the 'Professori di Segreti' and constituted that part of the State's possessions stamped with the formal edict 'non scribatur.'
Revealing them procured the death sentence, if such things were revealed without the State's explicit approval.
Modern Universities are simply no longer capable of effective productive new research.
There are a handful or privately-funded institutions which come up with mostly computing science processes along with a few materials advances. And that's about it. Chemistry and bio-chemistry are about new ways of packaging old knowledge.
So how many of you really acquired a few bottles of French brandy, or cognacs or half-decent wines?
Would be exactly about none, right.

Kubrick has some idea of something, that's for sure. |
I don't judge you. I would be terribly insistent myself on more information if the basic proposition that I was being told was 'Oh, comes from Aliens who can go into the future!'
LOL
However.
Just for those who have been playing around with some of the tools to make 'Contact' - don't forget that the material human brain made of its cells and neural signalling; those structures and dynamics that are put together in a certain way, and which 'formation' has been happening since your birth -, well your brain will always try to construct a 'symbolic representation' of anything radically new in terms of actual experiences, so that you can understand what you are experiencing
And so you will be inclined to have dreams or dream elements will come to you, even as you are literally in a liminal state actually making 'Contact' for real - and these dream-like elements will not be helpful. They could make things more confusing unless you are up to reviewing them afterwards via Jungian methods and so on.
There is no doubt at all that most people, far and away most people, have sensations of fear when they come into real and actual Contact with Alien species. And this may not even be with species that are really 'alien' to you - just that they will be alien to your present material profile-of-growth life and how that has adapted itself into your holistic consciousness.
As for having missed out because you never found a way to acquire some inexpensive French wine when that was suggested should be done last year and before - well do not live on this 'fear of missing out' syndrome that most middle-class people carry with themselves permanently.

Some like it hot. |
In any case the wine story has a long way to go yet.
In a few hours from now, I shall be uploading somewhere, the latest screed...
And it will truly blow all of your minds.
(I'm trying to sound like the redoubtable Professor Darrell Hamamoto with that last sentence).
The stone keeps challenging me, asking me, "is it possible to create a set of circumstances so beneficial, that you can completely let go of your past woes and just focus on that source of goodness?" and the answer is of course, yes. And so, I just need to focus on that. No?
ReplyDeleteCorrect. They do the same thing to me. But very difficult when you get down to trying to do it. The only way I know is to just 'proceed' I guess with that as an orientation. By the way, funny you should mention it at all - it is one of the key focus points of the latest, upcoming in about an hour at Inkitt, 'stories.'
DeleteIt's maybe not even all that obvious in the text itself, but the whole thing came about because of a conversation between a modern A-Lister glamour fashion designer and a subject, over what was the real purpose of 'hot dressing.' Was it to attract another because you had already figured out (so far as you believed) what would turn them on? Or was there ever a situation in which you dressed because YOU YOURSELF thought that you were attractive... What makes you attractive to you... Because why would you think some other smart person would be attracted to you if you were not being authentic.
DeleteThat's apart from everything else that's going on in there of course!
DeleteWell, two reasons I didn't buy French wines:
ReplyDelete1. I didn't know how I would sell it back into the market (for example, my liquor store is sell only, not "buy-and-sell"); and
2. I was afraid I'd drink up the profits...
Every country has (should have) licensed vintage wine auction houses.
