One Neighborhood At A Time

Thanks to Pete van Horn for the comments re that incredible episode from the Twilight Zone series (which is not to minimize Tom's comments which are less metaphorical, I guess).

The ending scene in that particular episode has two Aliens who look like ordinary humans, talking about how it is so easy to get humans to destroy themselves, and how they would simply just go around 'conquering the planet one neighborhood at a time.'

Rod Serling's voice-over at the end also goes on to say that great destruction is often not even from kinetic weapons (he doesn't actually say kinetic) or bombs but rather, from ideas.

Well of course that is true but the problem with that is that is exactly how humans destroy themselves - via their own stoopid crazy ideas. It won't even need any Aliens to do anything.

I'm sure all of you have, maybe somewhat like me, observed all these great heroes of our modern culture - Robert Plant, Rod Serling; just two typical examples - get older and almost unrecognizable from their appearance when they were popular and famous.

I say 'somewhat' like... I was turning over in my head just this week the thought of how a local billionaire, Kerry Stokes, used to chat to me from the driver's seat of his De Tomaso every morning as he parked it behind my office. That was all the interchange we ever had and at the Friday night Shima Japanese restaurant that only he and me from the local Perth community ever attended, whether in the private screened-off rooms or just in the open dining area with standard four-setting tables - he never spoke to me, never even nodded 'hi.'

...That was because he was entertaining a long list of potential GF's, two or three of whom he eventually married and divorced in sequence.

He could not have been more than ten years older than me.

Today he looks like a centenarian - all the pics online of him are all publicity shots from a long time ago; he looks really really old today.

I watch so many people come and go.

And they still trick me.

Here I was, virtually extolling Ammon Hillman, only to find out that all he was ever doing was flitting from one title to another, of the basic Harvard List of Classics (which is maybe sixty-seventy books in total, all with the Greek or Latin script on the side of the pages, of the English translated text.

His actual - that is to say genuine, authentic - depth knowledge of the literature involved is exactly 'nil' although yes I am being hyperbolic there. He probably has read perhaps two or maybe at most three short texts, definitely Aristotle and not much of anything else for real.

He has definitely thumbed through Hesychius but that is just grammar stuff and commentary once again.

All these guys read commentaries and never study the ground sources whilst banging on about how they did and you don't...

It's really obvious to someone who has though, to detect his deficiencies. I always put those down to the fact that he is from modern academia and they are 'based' (means blatantly in favor of some stupid thing because you are on free-base aka crack cocaine), although I mean - based/rooted in anti-Renaissance scientism.

Like all the rest, he will come and then go too.

A woman at a Service Station this week in context of telling me that she had just become (just found out that she was) a grandma swore to me that I could not have been more than forty-five and therefore was lying to her about my age.

So I have a problem.

I've never understood what people mean by that, because surely if you actually are spending biological time elsewhere, just because you are travelling via a time-fold door, doesn't that still mean you will exhibit the organic aging when you come back. It's the travelling over distance that is quick, not the actual organic/biological aging? Admittedly I have not ever spent much time elsewhere although I have traveled... ...there, and back.

I don't understand it.

...Speaking of time dilation. 

I mean it's great music and it's topical because of the war going on in Kashmir right now.

The Taliban has just this week completely countered an incursion by the Pakistan Army and secretly, they have been trained to properly use the Javelins that Biden 'gave' them. When I say 'secretly' I mean by today's iteration of CIA. You're probably not supposed to know that. Again, how these things manage to swing around so fast from one day being your mortal enemy to next day being an ally of some description... Who TF knows.

Then again though, it was not ever the Taliban that were involved even in any way, with 9/11 - but it 100% was Pakistan.

And it will never
be the same, again.

The other amazing thing is how one moment the global attention is on the Ukraine, next moment, Gaza, and then - if the kinetic action hots up a bit more - Pakistan.

Why are we even talking about this type of thing? Surely there are much more important things than wars and killing, but apparently not, when it comes to the human race.

Who creates ideological books, disseminates ideas - that end up taking complete control over the human mind and leading to utter devastation, brutal murders, and wars?

Who is doing this?

And why.

'Because I GOD will judge you when you die and then I will send you to Hell unless you do what I say!'

Really? 

Does any of you actually believe that?

I can tell you this, no one is coming in a huge big space ship and hovering it over some capital city - because there are not enough angelic beings (or Star Warriors or Rebel Storm-Troopers) to sit with each and every one of the souls (meaning people) in the whole entire Universe, and for them be required (because that would be quite necessary) to take the humans slowly and carefully all through the steps and the thinking processes that would take each one of them back from the sheer and utter lunacy of the thinking that is exhibited by human beings almost everywhere.

I was sitting in a McDonald's this evening and listening to a young kid screaming and crying and as I observed, I realized he was parting from his father because this was clearly one of these modern 'arranged contact visits' and there was this pink-haired other woman beside the black-dressed (not Goth!) mother to make sure the guy was going to get lost on time.

This is your human race.

Now if you want something better than that, you can have it, but you can't keep your BS.

Which bit of the BS do you think you want to keep hold of...?

Science itself is just '21 black crows.' The thinking there is that the next crow is going to be black. Because the other ones were all proven to have been black. 

And that is just BS.

Let me tell y'all something that you all already know deep down inside, but still, need to be klaxon-horned about: humans are not smart. Rich with money some of them, many of them these days, may well be, but they are not smart.

And in any case, sometimes you need to be lucky as well as a little bit smart.

2. How to turn off the aging genes enough to give you an advantage over everyone else;
