Substance

We all have to think about establishing a victory of substance (IE content) over surface wrapping.

Not necessarily the victory, but a victory.

We inherit such a lot.

And it is being lost to the newer generations.

They have no idea that when Brunelleschi built the famous Dome of Florence - nobody had any idea how to actually complete it. No dome of that size had ever been constructed prior to it.
Finished in 1924, this was
built using the timber from two
navy ships, one being
the HMS Hindustan.

The Dome of the Pantheon in Rome, completed in 126 AD is not actually a 'dome,' but a traditional un-reinforced graduated concrete vaulted ceiling that does appear like a dome.

It's referred to as a dome but the underlying real supporting structure is not a smooth hemispherical dome. What makes it all work structurally is that it is larger and heavier around its base, and then graduates in weight and thickness, that is, it tapers, up to its oculus - which is open to the sky - and the load-bearing is also handled by sunken panels and triangular shaped underside 'coffers.'

But the Dome of Florence is more than double the height of the Dome of the Pantheon in Rome and is quite a different kind of construction. It's also slightly larger in diameter.

When the City of Florence commissioned the work, it had absolutely zero idea that it even could be built. And no architects advanced any sensible plans for how to do it, either.

So we are talking about the Renaissance people's faith in their own ability to advance science and engineering - to achieve completely new ground. Do things that had not been done before.

The JFK era also achieved similar things but then society rapidly went into this complete denial of its own prowess at science and technology, and began this retreat into self-doubt, and denial of facts, and apparent exclusive reliance on commercial industry and media telling it what is true and what is real and what to believe and what not to believe.

Napoleon is a key marker point in 'modern' history. He ravaged Europe and rampaged through there, destroying, burning, pillaging - and he was the one most of all in the West in modern times, to obscure knowledge. Even while claiming to be liberating people from rulers.

Amr al As, in the late 6th and early 7th century, the Muslim invader, had done it in Egypt and Baghdad, burning all of the ancient Greek and Latin texts in the Great Museum. But then, a little over a thousand years later, in 1804, Napoleon did it all again, this time in Central and Western Europe.
They used the timber from
HMS Hindustan because
when Arthur Lasenby Liberty,
began his 'Liberty Department Store'
(he passed away before he could see
its final form,
although it had already been
very successful anyway), he was
buying things made by Indian craftsmen
in Hindustan, and also
bringing those people back to London
to live and work.

What do these guys have against the literature...?

Well, it's because there is something in there -.

Napoleon literally wrote it in his own diary, that 'conquering Venice was the Great Pearl.'

And the Venetians wrote themselves out of existence overnight when he entered there.

But what does that mean?

It means the key minds went underground, hiding what they knew from this new Great Revolution.

If you listen to all of the present-day politicians, and hear their speeches using critical thinking - none of them says anything, of substance. They employ slogans, they make jokes, and they trade on superficiality. They smile a lot. Life is not funny but they seem to smile a lot at you. For your benefit.

And they make much of power and status and position. And they take all of it into the appearance of the feeling of sharing that with you, the voter who foolishly got taken in by them

But you will not hear a single detail of what they are going to do for you. There are no details. They never talk details.

They repeat bland truisms: 'energy is expensive.' Yes, we know that. 'Prices are too high.' Yep, they're always that.

And it's the other fellow's fault.

Yep. Always is.

The difference between the leaders of the City-State of Renaissance Florence, and today's politicians, is that those leaders all did something beforehand - they were proto-chemists, seafarers, sailors, traders, engineers, artisans, architects, writers, thinkers.

The modern translations of the Bible say that Jesus was a carpenter.

No He wasn't. He was a teknoi. An engineer. You could even say, by today's standards, a technologist.

Substance is knowing how to do things.
Lemon sorbet champagne
float.

And if you don't know what other people have done before you, you have no idea what things there are, that you can do.

And that is the state of today's education style - it denies all access to the existential, that is to say the real, past.

It really doesn't matter which side of the political fence you think you are - you have no clue who those people are, who are there at the tops of those places, running the things there.

If you get taken in by what seems like smiling innocence and charm, and goodwill, you are just very badly mistaken.

Look at the substance on offer. What is it?

Okay then forget them no matter how entrancing it is to be sucked down that whirlpool of circling dishwater! Worry about your substance.

What is your own intellectual substance...

Meaning, what are you going to rely on.

You are not required to be a brilliant genius. That is not the point.

You are required to be able to read and comprehend what things cause what other things, what consequences, to happen, in history.

And that is the last thing these guys want you to know about.

They want you to repeat slogans, any slogans because that means you are trainable and have a slave mentality already ingrained.
What is a woman?

And they want you to be in a group. Any group, because then you will be addicted to social company and group assent and 'acceptance,' and approval.

Here is the real test:

What book do you have that you know you can rely on, in your thinking processes as well as in your abilities to create new things from out of nothing.

It might include Euclid but what else? And don't forget, while you are lauding people, that you think are good - that in history it was only one man, who saved the only surviving copy of Euclid's Principles, after Amr al As thought he had burnt them all.

We would not be building anything today if not for that one saved copy.

Our modern building engineering relies on Euclid.

But why do these guys always want to burn all of this stuff?

LOL

Why... Right?

Because in the substance of some of them, is a clear demarcation being made, between the most Evil things that masquerade as human beings, and what you can do yourself as a real human being. And they don't want you to know that demarcation.
She had to kill a horrible
Alien. And it hid inside
humans' dead bodies, and
fed off them, and you
could hardly tell the inhabited
'human' was not a human
any more at all.

'A strong man entered in while the Master was away, and bound the stewards and beat the servants. And took over the Household. And it takes a much stronger one to come and bind that first evil strong man and get rid of him.'

And again, 'the jealous neighbor seeing the newly-plowed fields, scattered tares into the fields along with the genuine wheat seed - so that when the seeds grew shoots, it looked like all of it was wheat...'

And 'by their fruits you will know them.'

And at the End of the Age, the angels are sent forth by God, to pluck out the tares from the wheat.

Beware of strangers, looking for fruit -.

Entertain them well.

The time is now. That time has come.
