Secrets Of Carotene Degradation

Huh? What?

Yep.

1. What you are about to read are secrets.

A rose in the night...
And 2., because not a whole lot of people read this blogspot, they will likely remain secrets to the greater public for a while at least.

...But you know, huge big commercial operations at the very top understand some of these things that you are about to read here:

Do you know why people generally like the scent of roses? I'll tell you why - the chemicals that make for the threshold perception value (which happens to be very low, less than 1 part per Olympic-sized swimming pool) spur the body to make melatonin - which in turn increases the human brain's sensitivity to a vast range of positive sensations.

The actual chemical molecules that provide the characteristic scents (there are many of them all in a category broadly called Damascones, or Damascenones), are derived from the break-down of carotenoids. What also falls on the spectrum of these types of 'rose ketones' or rose scents, includes what makes tea pleasant - this chemical is also a Damascone molecule.

Now why is this important at all?

Well, now, the real secrets go beyond the simplistic kind of thing you are likely to read elsewhere.

As you probably know, the most expensive and very difficult to acquire discontinued thing called 'Nombre Noir,' contains these Damscone molecules in abundance, and it also has some other clever compounds in its contruction that produce some effects in a person's perception - but you have to look at the art of the man who made the thing in the first place: he committed suicide when the major brand house of 'Shiseido' not only discontinued the line, but tried to re-call and buy-up/buy-back all the stock that was still out there unsold.
Art includes ways to trick the mind...

And 'the art' that I was referring to? Well, just look at the name itself; this man knew more than he said in any kind of open detail... The time that the human body produces the most natural melatonin is during the so-called true 'witching hour' between 3 and 4 a.m. Some people think the witching hour is just after midnight, but it is in fact just before 4 a.m. The reason people believe sunlight 'produces' melatonin is because increased levels of light raise the threshold of dark at which melatonin starts to be produced.

So yeah, Nombre Noir. It's about the night, about the dark.
