I replied to most of the previous comments.
And, I definitely recommend a new Blog by one of our regulars here. This one:
Believe me, if you thought here was difficult wading, this new one is quite 'high brow' I would say but worth it because it more accurately deals with some of the ancient literary sources.
In other words it's a better, more authentic resource on some of the relevant material. Here we go a bit silly often.
I feel very free to completely misquote people and whole passages and even add stuff that isn't in any modern retained texts...
LOL
Can't say why I do that.
Anyway, why will you be richer:
Because all or most of you have a really good quality, ornately-bound journal, right?
And you will have gone to your local friendly obliging Post Office to get them to date-stamp the opening page...
And then, you will write neatly on top of that page 'Silver Guild Associate's Journal.'
And although it will not be possible to actually fix, attach, to the journal, an ounce of Silver - bullion bar or coin - nevertheless you will find a way to create such a 'tie' to the actual individual specific journal, and also acquire one other (or even more depending on so many things in life) ounce of Silver, which will be to contribute at some unknown time in some theoretical future, to a fund that is designed to buy-back your journals at ridiculously high prices.
And thus, you will possess something of real and meaningful future value, to hand down as a legacy to your future generations.
As things stand right now, the LBMA has run out of Silver altogether and has no realistic means to purchase any in the quantities that would be required, if it were to make up for the supply needs of the US Government in its desire to manufacture Tomahawk Missiles and also small movable nuclear power plants.
Who can really say, what the future prices of Gold or Silver or Platinum might reach -, somewhere up in the clouds there if you extended the wall chart to where the likely region of its realistic honest price-discovery level should be.
...And what would one write in these journals?
Whatever you might see fit to. Anything the Elves of Silver might inspire you so to write.
All the 'Fantasy World' Gen Z - Gen Alpha people would surely be entranced to know, that indeed, there are such things as 'Silver Gild' wizards and alchemists, and I for one would not in any way feel constrained to write in there about 'market data' and the opinions of expert Wall Street Fund Managers (on account that I at least, personally think there are no such things; whereas I certainly know there are Silver Elves...).
Happy would be some child, in some un-determined future, who received into their little hands, a book filled with the scribblings of thee and thou and me and those, and more to the point, whose actual value was much more than the average diary pored over by the experts at Antiques Roadshow.
And whose foundation moneys still existed - as is the case with many brands of Swiss Watch of course, where they set a price by buying their own things back higher than they were originally found for.

| Certainly one of the taller Elves I would say, but an Elf nonetheless -, for Balenciaga, Christmas 2025. |
...Meanwhile, the LBMA must hunt around for Silver and Gold to replenish their as yet entirely non-existential 'holdings' upon which they have set themselves up as the 'Gold and Silver' bankers to the world.
Whereas, in fact and really - it is you and me.
Mind-boggling lyrics:

This is very generous, I have thought that the writing over there doesn’t hold a candle to what’s here. It is one of the only things that brings some satisfaction these days, though. Many thanks.
ReplyDeleteI keep reading Paul Krugman at 3:30AM. He beats the same drum a lot. Lately it's been "vibflation." Well people are angry and scared. Someone is out there making them that way. Sometimes they are lying on social media, and sometimes they are lying in court. But it's strange because their immediate goal is to put soldiers on the streets (like in DS9!)
ReplyDeleteI don't think the subconscious is very well understood, and I don't think they realize how one type of anger/fear can bleed into another, and I don't think they really know what to do about that. I'd like to think "they" don't know.
I keep going back to the advice proffered by a Yugoslav university professor who escaped the Yugoslav civil war:
Delete"Keep your passport current."
Don't worry. I have a kayak.
DeleteRothschild Londonistan (of St Swithin's Lane, in case you are there; has a checkerboard pattern on the doorstep btw) own Macron, and they installed Zelenskyy. So... ...they really do these things.
ReplyDeleteSo I saw this thing on reddit about how "we got them now, we have actual court evidence of antifa in Portland" on something called "JRE." So I read the court doc they referenced, and it was one line from the DOJ lawyer saying "a homeless guy told us that ANTIFA was inciting homeless people to cause trouble.." They also quoted local police saying there was incitement going on, however they made no reference to "antifa" there. So that was their evidence for antifa being a real menace, 1 line, a quote from a homeless guy. And they were gloating! "All you libs who say antifa isn't a real organization are WRONG" okie dokey! In the meantime, el presidente Trumpo wants to send in the armed troops, because they're going to burn the city down if he doesn''t! No, in fact he wants to establish precedent for sending national guard anywhere he likes so he can suspend the 2028 vote count if he decides he needs to do so. Well now that IS speculation. When I try to intuit the goings-on in 2028 I just don't see trump being all that present.
DeleteI like ETs. I like the "imaginary" space I can put myself in while doing the breathing thing I have been doing for 20 years. I like seeing things with my eyes closed and knowing there is a possibility that those things are connected with other REAL things, because that has happened in the past in my own experience.
Fine. "There is a problem with the world..." Fine again. "And you need to vote for THIS guy because he's an OUTSIDER and is going to right the wrongs..." Hey now! Let's consider things more carefully shall we?
Yes, but mucking around in the "low places" I am now.
DeleteBaby Donald: 'Here, Mamdani - here is a White House souvenir for your wife back East. How many wives is that BTW, Mamdani?' Everyone ROTFLAO. Baby Donald: 'Ha ha, gotcha Mamdani.'
ReplyDeleteLaughing so hard they didn't hear the little remark Mad Marjorie made as she resigned from Congress. Something about not wanting to be put in the situation of having to defend Trumpo in the inevitable impeachment trial.
